Nun — Monthly Letter, Heshvan (Standing Letter)

Attributes

The letter Nun is the Hebrew N. It is connected with the attribute of Malchut-Kingdom and is taken to mean “ruling”. Nun is connected also with the image of the Nahash-snake.

Its Hebrew month is Heshvan, the second month of autumn and the Hebrew zodiac sign connected with it is Scorpio. It is the second level of Water.

How to do the letter

To do the Nun stand upright with both feet joined and arms down along the body. Bend both hands up at 90 degrees to the arms, with palms parallel to the ground, and then balance on the heels alone by raising the toes and balls of the feet off the floor as much as possible. This is a letter you will generally do with your eyes open, although you can try it with eyes closed. In order to achieve balance, relax and focus your eyes on a spot before balancing yourself. It is helpful to draw the inner muscles of both legs toward each other to help maintain the balance on the heels. You may also want to do this letter initially standing in front of a wall (to fall back on). When you are in position, do the inner exercise 3-5 times or more.
